Privacy Policy — You Know Your Money (YKYM)

Overview You Know Your Money (YKYM) is a Google Sheets-based personal and business finance tracker developed by Gregory Keenan. This Privacy Policy explains how the YKYM application handles your data.

Data Collection YKYM does not collect, store, or transmit any personal or financial data outside of your own Google account. All data you enter — including income, expenses, account names, and financial plans — remains exclusively within the Google Sheets file you own and control.

Google OAuth Permissions YKYM requests the following permissions: Google Sheets (spreadsheets) — used to read and write data within your spreadsheet only. This includes entering transactions, applying sheet protections, importing bank CSV data, and generating reports. Google Sheets UI (script.container.ui) — used to display menus, dialogs, and sidebars within the Google Sheets interface. No other permissions are requested or used.

Data Storage All data is stored exclusively in your own Google Drive within the spreadsheet file you created. YKYM has no servers, no database, and no external storage of any kind.

Data Sharing YKYM does not share, sell, rent, or transmit your data to any third party under any circumstances.

Bank Data YKYM's bank import feature accepts CSV files exported directly from your bank. These files are processed entirely within your spreadsheet. No bank credentials, account numbers, or login information are ever requested or stored.
